org-roam-bibtex (ORB) intends to integrate org-roam and org-ref/helm-bibtex/ivy/bibtex/citar.

The project’s documentation doesn’t make it very clear why we would need it when using citar, but based on a Discourse response by one of its authors, it doesn’t look like we need it at all and that citar/org-cite is already handling everything we care about.[1]
